For my final piece, I decided to look in conditional design. I chose this because I liked the possibilities of the audience having the control to create and transform the work.
Keri Smith is one of my favourite artists. With her illustrations she creates books for anyone to take control and make it their own. Like the diary for instance, writing in the pages and keeping it for yourself, that book becomes yours.

"WRECK THIS JOURNAL" by Keri Smith is a great example of conditional design. The journal commands the reader to scribble in or tear a page or pattern this shape. The instructions are endless. How the reader follows the instruction is up to them.

This idea brings the idea of interaction to be completely open. By the use of print and interaction it brings together a new and interesting piece of conditional design.

Even the Conditional Design Practioners have created their own book to document their work.
Although theirs is a structure where it is showing the person what they have done it is still an interesting way of portraying work.
I am more intrigued about bring the reader into the work and creating their own pieces of design. The structure of my work will be specifically designed for an audience interested in art, illustration graphic design and becoming or experimenting with their own work.
